Help Me Build A House! (DONE!)
The following call for help was in October 2012. I successfully raised $2000 to help me get to Nepal and help build a house. Below is an image of where the family was living before, and the new house during construction. If you want more information, go to Habitat for Humanity.
I'm going to build a house in Nepal – and I need your help!
My name is Rob Wood, the owner and creator of Topend Sports. I live in Perth, Western Australia with my wife Clare and three kids, Olive, Jetson and Casper. I am aspiring to be part of an international team of 500 people going to Nepal in October 2012, to work alongside local families to build 40 houses in the village of Dhulikel in Nepal as part of the 'Everest Build ll', a project by the international group Habitat for Humanity.
What Can You Do?
To enable me to join this project, I am asking for your assistance. Has this website helped you? Then maybe you can give something back! I am aiming to raise $2,000 by the beginning of August 2012. I am hoping you will support me in this task by sponsoring this endeavor in some way. I am paying my own costs to join this project in Nepal, though vital sponsorship funds are required for Habitat for Humanity to provide materials and ground support to make this happen. Please support Habitat for Humanity and my aim to join the big build in Nepal in October 2012.
