George Herman "Babe" Ruth, Jr. (1895 – 1948) was a baseball player from the USA who played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1914 to 1935 and was famous for hitting home runs. He led the league in home runs during a season twelve times.

He set a record for home runs (714) and slugging percentage (.690). The slugging percentage record still stands today.
