The ICC Champions Trophy is a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament held every four years. The ninth edition of the tournament will be held in 2025 in Pakistan (Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi), becoming the first major International Cricket Council (ICC) tournament hosted by Pakistan in nearly 30 years. However, due to political tensions, India will play all its matches in Dubai, UAE.
The 2025 event is scheduled from February 19 to March 9, 2025. The opening match will be played on February 19, 2025, between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The final, played on March 9, will be held at either Dubai International Cricket Stadium or Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, depending on whether India are in the final.
Participants
The tournament comprises the top-ranked One Day International (ODI) teams: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan.
Group A: Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh
Group B: Australia, England, South Africa, Afghanistan
Each team plays against the others in their group, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
