1975 Copa América

The 1975 Copa América was held in various countries, as the tournament was played as home-and-away matches. It was the 30th edition of the tournament.

In 1975 the Copa América adopted a new format, replacing the round-robin style with a group stage followed by knockout rounds.

The 1975 tournament was significant as it was the first to feature all ten CONMEBOL members — Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

In the final, Peru emerged victorious by defeating Colombia 1-0 in a playoff match, securing their second Copa América title.
