1979 Copa América

The 1979 Copa América was held in various countries, as the tournament was played as home-and-away matches. It was the 31st edition of the tournament.

The tournament saw the participation of the ten CONMEBOL nations—Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

In the final, Paraguay triumphed over Chile with a 3-1 aggregate victory across two legs, winning their second Copa América title.
