Baseball and Softball have been removed from the list of Olympic sports since the 2008 Games, leaving only 26 sports on the program, and a total of 39 disciplines. In 2009, the IOC voted to include women's boxing at the 2012 London Games, so now there are men and women competing in all sports. Cricket and netball were suggested as possible demonstration sports in 2012, though none were held. More about Olympic Demonstration Sports.
