• Technical juggling — which emphasizes the execution of intricate tricks and patterns.
• Speed juggling — tests how many objects a competitor can juggle within a set time

Events like the World Juggling Federation (WJF) championships bring together elite jugglers from around the world to compete in a highly structured format, with judges scoring based on difficulty, execution, and performance style.
