The back skinfold site is one of the less common locations used for the assessment of body fat using skinfold calipers. Site 1: Lower Back
This is the lower back skinfold site as used for the Parillo Method of body fat calculation.
- Directly over the kidney, two inches to the right of spine
- Horizontal pinch
Site 2: Lower Back
- On the right side, between the kidney and the spine.
Site 3: Upper back
- Vertical pinch the skin between the scapula and spine
