Here is the player sprint competition held during the half time entertainment at the 1981 Grand Final. The winner was Geoff Ablett of Hawthorn. Geoff is the older brother of Geelong great Gary Ablett Snr. There was no competitors from Carlton and Collingwood as they were competing in the Grand Final game. Prize money was $1000 for 1st, $300 for 2nd and $200 for 3rd. See more about the GF Sprint.

Bog Snorkelling in Wales

The World Bog Snorkeling Championship has been held along the dense Waen Rhydd Peat bog near Llanwrtyd Wells, in Powys, Wales since 1985. It may be a world championships, but you can see on this video that not all competitors take it seriously. Competitors need to complete a return swim along the 55m bog lap, with no conventional swimming strokes allowed. Goggles and flippers are essential though if you want to go anywhere. The Indo Board is great for improving your balance, particularly if you are a surfer. As one commenter said, a piece of wood and pvc pipe could also do the trick, but it would not look as good.
