See the contrasting styles on how to perform the beep test. I am not sure if the test procedures allow for such sweeping turns, but I would think that it would be more energy consuming than the straight up and down guy. It does not look like 20m, maybe they are doing a 15m version.

Interval Shuttle Run Test

This group of athletes are doing what they call the Interval Shuttle Run Test. The test looks like a variation of the beep test, similar to the Yo-Yo test. Notice the markers a couple of meters before the turning line, which is used to indicate the area which they must be in when it beeps otherwise they get a failure warning. At one point the players stop for 15 seconds, while the Yo-Yo Test has recovery times of 5 or 10 seconds.

These guys are obviously not taking their fitness test too seriously. An interview in French, with both the interviewer and interviewee running the beep test. I don’t understand French, so I have no idea what is being said.
