Here is South Korean Lee Kang-Seok breaking the world record in the 500-metre long track race at the 2007 world speed skating championships held in in Salt Lake City, with a time of 34.25 seconds. From Salt Lake City in 2002 – Australians will remember these Games for the nation’s first-ever gold medal at Winter Olympics level – Steven Bradbury’s win in the short track speed skating when his rivals in the final all fell like nine pins. It appeared to be his plan all along, pity you don’t see his facial expression as he realizes he has done the impossible.
