Bull riding is a rodeo sport, it involves a rider riding onto a large bull, and the rider will attempt to stay mounted while the bull will attempt to buck off the rider.
Before the competition, the bulls are matched randomly, but starting 2008 the riders can choose their bulls. When the rider is ready, he/she will nod to signal that he/she is ready. The rider must stay on the bull for eight seconds, and should only touch the bull with the riding hand. The riders are scored from 0 to 100 points. The bull and the rider will receive points.
Traditionally there are two judges, one to score the bull from 0 to 50 points, and the other one will score the rider from 0 to 50 points. Many of the riders usually do not score, most of them lose control of the bull right after the bull leaves the bucking chute. Some of the professionals can score up to 75 points.
